Berger compared the first week of classes to the old generator which provides the campus with a few hours of electricity at night. “It took a few days until the old generator started more easily and ran smoothly – and we still need to make a few minor adjustments. Every now and then we get a puff of soot. So it was with our first few weeks of school. We ‘fine tune’ each week to run a bit more smoothly than before.” |

“God has entrusted us with 16 students and five wives for our new school year,” notes the Liebenzell missionary team at the Chisomo Bible Training Centre in Malawi. “It is our prayer that they don’t just acquire Bible knowledge but that they grow spiritually.” This is the first full year of their responsibility at Chisomo and Joachim and Mirjam Berger and Marion Engstler admit to feeling the heavy burden toward their students, and their national coworkers. This will also be the first time Joachim will be teaching in Chichewa, the language of instruction for all classes.
