If the value of something can be partially determined by how much people are willing to sacrifice for it, then pastoral and church leadership training in Malawi is a very valuable thing. Liebenzeller missionaries John and Vroni Urschitz report that people walked for up to four hours to attend the most recent training sessions. “Fifty community leaders and their wives came together to discuss important issues regard Christian leadership and and the Christian family,” the Urschitzes reported. The following day, about 800 visitors attended a Community Day. “The long road was worth it; the time together was filled with a church service, lunch and afternoon colorful program.”
At the Chisomo Bible Training Centre, Joachim and Miriam Berger reported on a recent baptism service. “For ten Saturdays in a row went children attended the baptismal instruction classes to learn more about God, faith and the church. “We hope and pray that these young people can learn to experience God in their everyday lives and how much Jesus loves them.”
