The students actively participate in chapel as well, planning the services and being involved in various ways. Musical, dramatic, and practical skills are to put to use to minister to the congregation. Although a new group of volunteers has joined the school in recent months, Amano is still looking for some long-term teaching help and dorm parents. “We’d dearly love to expand each primary class to 16 students,” notes the school’s blog, “if only we could find enough long term primary teachers to do that. With the school expanding and becoming more popular we desperately need to do this soon if we are not to disappoint too many parents who are seeking a very strong Christian education for the children. Our waiting list is well over 60!” |

One of the highlights during the year at Amano Christian School in Zambia is the weekly chapel services for students and their families. Yes, Amano is a boarding school; but many of the students’ families live close enough that they can attend the services on a fairly regular basis. Our missionary team at Amano is encouraged that the number of visitors has increased significantly in the past year – so much so that the chapel services are now held in the new multi-purpose hall.
