"Oh what work for the missionary! Island after island, many almost unknown, some densely peopled, but no light, no Jesus, no hope full of bliss!”

Hudson Taylor penned these words while sailing through the islands of the Western Pacific, during his first voyage to China, in January of 1854. Fifty-two years later, missionaries from Liebenzell – founded as a support branch of Taylor’s China Inland Mission – landed in the Western Caroline Islands (Micronesia) and the Admiralty Islands (Papua New Guinea) to begin sharing the Gospel.

With abundant opportunities amidst complex challenges, Liebenzell continues its ministry today . . .
