Japanese church leadershipLiebenzell is looking for missionary couples willing to serve as church planters and missionary pastors in Japan. There is a shortage of pastors in Japan, especially outside of the large cities where small congregations (20-40 members) struggle to support full-time clergy.

Liebenzell partners with the Japan Evangelical Church Association (JECA), an association of over 175 churches throughout the country. Liebenzell is also a member of SLOT, a loosely organized cooperative effort of four mission agencies: Send, Liebenzell, OMF, and Team. Through both of these organizations, Liebenzell strives to identify areas of greatest need and then engage suurounding churches in support of new church-planting initiatives.

Fluency in Japanese is a must; language training will take the first two years. A master’s degree is required; some pastoral experience would be helpful. We are looking for married couples for this ministry.

Liebenzell is a faith mission; all of our missionaries depend upon the sacrificial support of their home church, families, missions-focused churches, and Christian friends to provide for their ministry needs.
