Pacific Islands University in Guam is looking for a Vice President of Academic Affairs, the chief academic officer directly responsible to the President for the development, coordination, and implementation of curricula and instruction at the University. This individual serves as adviser to the President on academic affairs and is on the Administrative Council of the University.
PIU is a fully accredited, four-year university with a culturally diverse student body – primarily from Micronesia, but with students from all around the Pacific Rim. There are about 100 full-time students at the Guam campus; PIU also maintains remote teaching facilities in Chuuk and Yap, Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.
All instruction is done in English. The university offers a certificate, associate and bachelor degrees in Bible. A seminary offers Master's degrees in Biblical Studies. A Christian college offers a liberal arts degree with an emphasis on training teachers. Liebenzell is a faith mission; all of our missionaries depend upon the sacrificial support of their home church, families, missions-focused churches, and Christian friends to provide for their ministry needs.
