Liebenzell USA welcomes individuals or groups interested in stepping beyond their comfort zone. We have many opportunities to serve. We will work with you to find a ministry that best suits the skills, talents and gifts you have to share. It could be a weekend in New Jersey – or a year in Papua New Guinea.
Training Requirements:
- For missionaries engaged in evangelism, church planting, discipleship, pastoral ministries, children's, youth and women's ministries, small group ministry; a 3 to 4 year course of Bible and Theology, preferably with emphasis in inter-personal relationships, such as counseling and cross-cultural communication. In some cases an advanced degree may be helpful or required.
- For theological instruction; a Master's degree minimum is required. In some situations, a Ph.D. is necessary.
- For teachers and medical personnel: Professional degrees/diplomas in their respective fields. Experience is a definite asset. Some teaching positions do not require certification. Some Bible training is also helpful.
- For English teachers; a degree in ESL, TESOL, or TESL is preferred and may be required for entry into some countries; certification from a training course is required for all situations. Some Bible training is also helpful.
- For technical specialists: experience in the respective area of skill or trade.
Other Requirements:
- Relationship with local church: We believe that missions starts with the Church. God normally calls people who are actively participating in their worshiping congregation. (Acts 13)
- Commitment to ministry: Missionary candidates should already be involved in the outreach activities within their local congregation or other ministries.
- A willingness to walk by faith: Liebenzell started as a faith mission and continues as one today. We trust God to supply all our needs.
- Doctrinal agreement: Everyone who serves with Liebenzell must be able to unreservedly agree to our Statement of Faith. Our practice can be summarized as follows: In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love.
